Edgy sunset in South Beloit, that is right up my alley for an engagement session. Lesley and Josh brought some excitement into this shoot that I am truly looking forward to it being multiplied exponentially for their Wedding photography images. We spent some time around the Ironworks Hotel and along the river getting them used to the experience and waiting for the golden hour, 30 minutes before and after sunset. Once it hit, the magic started. The lighting could not have been better, nor the couple more involved in the session. Once the lights went down enough, the lights on the bridge came on as well as all of the decorative lights across the river which we certainly took advantage of. I always look for new and innovative opportunities, but I was caught off guard this evening. I had a request to try something new, to which I will usually respond that I've seen it all or close. The last image of the night was to capture the two of them "shotgunning" a couple of beers on the bridge... Now I've seen it all as a Rockford, IL Wedding Photographer, maybe, their wedding should prove to be quite exciting.
